Kenji Miyazawa also received official permission and supervision from Mr. Kazuki Miyazawa, his grand uncle. The works include copy number and publisher’s mark and the colophon has Mr. Kazuki Miyazawa’s seal as guarantee.

Welcome to Gallery GADO


Masao Ido (1945-2016), a woodblock print artist and the owner of a woodblock print studio, opened Gallery GADO in 1982 to preserve and share the excellence of woodblock prints, a traditional Japanese art form, with the world.
Currently, the gallery exhibits woodblock prints mainly by Masao Ido, antique ukiyo-e prints, actual woodblocks, carving and printing tools, and videos of the production process.
Please come and visit us at Gallery Gado, which is located along Kinukake-no-michi, a street full of history and dotted with three World Heritage Sites: Kinkakuji Temple, Ryoanji Temple, and Ninnaji Temple.
